The innovative Teaching with Primary Sources Western Region delivers professional development that helps teachers use the Library of Congress’ rich reservoir of digitized primary source materials to design challenging, high-quality instruction. The TPS Western Region is part of the larger national Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources program. Professional development opportunities are available for in-service and pre-service teachers, college faculty, librarians, media specialists and other educational support personnel. The goal of the project is to develop a regional professional development network that reaches out to all educators supporting the use of Library of Congress primary source-based instruction in the classroom.
